Resourcing and talent management Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2250 words

Resourcing and talent management - Essay Examplebutother countries as well so ard to an uncomparable high. In the past few years, the countries consume tried to recover from the effects that the recession had on them. This is evidenced by economic growth evidenced in the GDP (gross domestic product) of the countries. In the United Kingdom, the economy has been fluctuating since the recession came to an end (LSE, 2013). However, since the end of 2011, the economy of the country has continually deteriorated much to the dismay of many. Economists spend a penny referred to this situation as a contracting economy since it has consistently been decreasing. It is important to note that the drops in the GDP are not very dramatic and consort between nought point five to point seven (LSE,2013). Based on this information about the reality in the labour market, it is easy to render the problems facing GIVE. org. It is a charity organization that was formerly among the best. It merged with o ther mergers, and this affected the group significantly. The greatest problem they are facing is low employee morale. The productiveness of an employee is directly related to their confidence. Reduced drive among employees reflects negatively on the business as the staffs do not do their best at work (Nickell and Quintini, 2002, 35). This is especially dangerous for a charity organization since their work is heavily dependent on the optimism of their personnel. A merger during tough economic times can be either extensively beneficial or harmful to the company in question. It is often useful if the merging company is powerful in terms of its capital, for example, (LSE, 2013). In such a case, the more successful business pass on be able to pull the other through the hard times. On the other hand, amalgamating a business with not one but two smaller firms that were not doing well was not a wise decision for GIVE.org. The merger lowered the operation of the company which in turn affec ted the confidence of the employees. This is an example of how the events in the labour market have affected a particular business in this case GIVE.org. Another problem facing the charity business is that most of its employees are leaving. This is probably due to the deterioration of the business as well as the availability of jobs especially from the private sector. This seems to be a contradiction since the economy and the GDP are decreasing. It expected that the companies should be lowering their workforce since their output is low(Nickell and Quintini, 2002, 35). However, in the United Kingdom, this is the complete opposite the said companies are still hiring more staff even with their output being low. As a result, the employees are under-utilized since they are not working to their full potential. This trend is fast becoming popular and is known as labour hoarding (LSE, 2013). The explanation behind this puzzling suppuration in the labour market, in the U.K., is that the sai d companies are acquiring the available labour in preparation of a boom in production which will occur when the country experiences economic growth. Many analysts contest this presumption since the labour hoarding has been going on for many years yet no pitch in the economy has been witnesses. As such, this cannot be the only reason why the companies are still acquiring new employees during this time (Taylor, 2011, 27). This phenomenon explains why the staffs from GIE.org are leaving. They have probably been offered jobs by the private sectors who in spite of the bad

Ontological Argument criticism by Kant Critique of Pure Reason Essay

Ontological Argument criticism by Kant Critique of Pure Reason - Essay sampleKant vehemently reaffirmed the intelligibility of the world as demonstrated by common sense and science. He has had immense influence in the world of philosophy and continues to be a great source of inspiration for all. Despite rejecting some of his core ideas, the subsequent generation that lived under German idealism has widely adopted his work. His prime remonstrance was that outlastence is not a asseverate. The rear end of the ontological argument was the existence of a God that is greater than a God who does not exist. Thus, the very foundation was baffling and questionable. Kant advocated that existence could not possess or lack properties and, therefore, it is not a predicate. His criticism primitively targeted Descartes and Leibniz. Kant drew a clear line of banknote between analytic and synthetic judgments. Analytic judgment denotes a predicate that conveys a point that is already a part of t he concept, and, therefore, it constitutes a tautology. On the another(prenominal) hand, in a synthetic judgment, the predicate implies a point not already contained in the concept, and, therefore, it expresses new knowledge.... The judgments regarding nonexistence nullify both the subject and the predicate therefore, this does not give rise to a contradiction. Based on these arguments, Kant refuted the notion of a necessary being. In addition, he contends that if existence is considered as a fundamental component of the definition of something, then affirming that it exists constitutes as tautology. Therefore, while making the analytic judgment that existence is a characteristic of God, we are reiterating that God exists. Thus, no synthetic judgment is made to annex novel information with regard to existence to the theoretical definition of God. Moving on, he criticizes the concept of being by pointing stunned that it is not a real predicate thereby, it cannot be used to define a concept related to something. In plain terms, saying that something exists does not usher anything in relation to the concept instead, it denotes the existence of an object that matches with the concept. To say that objects of sense exist does not imply an extra property related to the concept instead, it is to be discovered outside the thought and we have an experiential awareness of it in space and time (Kant 89). A thing that actually exists does not possess properties which could be predicated therefore, it cannot be distinguished from the concept of it. The distinguishing factor is then experience concerning that something, for instance its shape, site, time. To say that something exists requires spatial-temporal experience of that thing in order to know that there exist objects that correspond to that concept. Hence, a demonstration concerning the existence of something like God, which involves predicating a
